Dental Problems May Contribute to Cancer

"The jaws and teeth can be thought of as the "fuse box" of the body because all of the major acupuncture meridians pass throughout this area. Any disturbance of the teeth and jaws will cause a short circuit of the energy moving through these channels and create electrical disturbances in the organ associated with that tooth.

"Many causes of cancer seem related to poorly performed root canals as well as circulatory lesions in the jawbone. Most of the information supporting this connection is anecdotal, yet is highly compelling.

"Root canal filled teeth, infected teeth, and dry sockets are a potentially large source of toxicity and electrical irritation and may contribute to a host of degenerative conditions. [Dr. W. John Diamond has had a number of patients with breast cancer all of whom have a root canal on the tooth related to the breast area on the associated meridian.]

"Additionally mixed metals in the mouth -- nickel and mercury -- produce electrical microcurrents that cause the associated meridians to short-circuit, thereby blocking the flow of QI, or life force energy, through these pathways.

"The presence of mercury dental amalgam and nickel may, in some patients, be the irritating focus that depresses the immune system just enough to give cancer the edge. It is now conclusively proven that the mercury that leaches from dental amalgams can have an adverse impact on the immune system, including for example, a reduced functioning of lymphocytes and monocytes, cells that play a role in protecting us against cancer."
