You may just be rolling your eyes and thinking that it is not possible there is one more book on dieting or health. But Sue Heintze’s book is excellent. She talks not just about diet, but also about our relationship with food and how to change it.

A large part of The Beta Switch is how to burn fat, quickly and completely, while still enjoying the foods you love. Again, you may be rolling your eyes but after reading the book and trying out some of Sue’s tips, we are here to say – it works.

What does Beta Switch mean?

When you start eating well, author Sue Heintze explains that your body ‘switches over.’ Your body responds in a natural way to new and wholesome food. It also responds naturally to exercise.

How long does it take to achieve full Beta Switch

The program that is included in Sue Heintze’s book is a 12 week program. This may be thought of as a long term program by some, but Heintze is quick to point out that crash diets do not work.

You can lose weight quickly, sure, but you can also put it back on, plus more, just as quickly. The longer you take to lose weight, the more it stays off.  Plus, on Beta Switch the weight loss does start to happen pretty quickly.

Heintze gives you a healthy eating plan, telling you how and why you should be eating this way. She also outlines cheat days, feeling they are important to have, and strategic. Everyone wants a cheat day, right?

A cheat day reminds your body that it is not starving and it does not have to go into ‘fight or flight mode.’ A cheat day also benefits you by making you feel good every once in a while, and to stop cravings. Also after a while, as per Heintze, you may not want that chocolate after all.

Heintze feels that to achieve full health and wellness potential, you must exercise. This is obvious, we know how important exercise is. Together with her wellness program of healthy eating, Heinze has include training manuals.

Included in her manuals is information on high intensity interval training, as well as on resistance training and fast steady cardio. These programs are not easy, but they are designed for you to start slowly and build up strength.

Each exercise comes with a full set of pointers and pictures so it is easy for you to understand.

Heintze knows that different people like to exercise differently. Some are more energetic than others and some are more athletic. Her manuals are for everyone.
